Sat, February 7, 2004 - 2:34 PMI went to the Montréal tattoo convention last year and am planning to go this year. It was my first tattoo convention, so I enjoyed it. However, I think it is still trying to get established since it was the first one here in about ten years or something. I got a great tattoo there. But the crowds of people attending were pretty small... I guess that they did not advertise enough. -

Overall, it was a succes, with over 300 artists from around the world in attendance. The drag was when, on opening day, our archaich health board and the cops searched desparately for a way to shut us down to no avail.
I think I was hosting for about 10 hours straight for a three day run!!! There were constant contests and sideshows going on.
The bands we had each night were great and ranged from the well known SWOLLEN MEMBERS to local bands.
I hope to be doing the same for the 2005 convention!

calgary's 2nd annual is february 19-21st, definatly one to check out! guranteed shaker -

Wed, March 2, 2005 - 3:35 PMI usually go to the Toronto Northern Ink Exposure, Usually a good turn out except 2 years ago with the SARS scare, Even Paul booth wouldn't come :(

My company had a sex toy booth at the convention--I got a new piece-- got to play with my fire whip in the back parking lot--plus watched bands and freakshow antics.
One of those times that you can't believe what you do is actually called "work"
Apparently they don't have room for our booth this year--which sucks.
And the venue has changed.
